These 12 Triangle restaurants offer Mother’s Day specials. Book a table now.

The most important brunch of the year is coming up.

Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 14, and reservations are still available at some of the Triangle’s most popular restaurants. Coming out of the pandemic, many restaurants have eased back into normal brunch operations, and we’ve collected a dozen special menus and services to help celebrate Mom.

Here’s the list of Mother’s Day specials. Remember that will also be a college graduation weekend for some local schools, so reservations are recommended.

Guglhupf Bakery, Cafe & Biergarten

This Durham bakery has a menu of Mother’s Day specials, including a strawberry-rhubarb tart, lime and strawberry meringues, french macarons and a strawberry trifle with strawberry mousse and lots of other seasonal strawberry sweets. The deadline to order is May 10.

Il Palio

Serving up a three-course brunch including choices like buttermilk pancakes with strawberries, house-cured salmon, aged prosciutto, lobster Benedict, steak and eggs and sweet options like a trio of cannoli and cheesecake with sour cherries. The meal is $74 per person.

Owners say Easter and Mother’s Day are just typical Sundays at Irregardless, which is packed to the gills every weekend.
