A garden centre has been forced to close after the recent spate of heavy rain.
Winnersh Garden Centre has shared that they will be closed “until further notice” after “severe flooding” in the area.
The garden centre – which had welcomed November in by launching its Christmas display – was seen to be flooding in a Facebook post shared yesterday (November 3) where areas of the garden centre were fenced off.
A sign on the fence read: “No entry due to flooding.
“Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.”
It is understood that the River Loddon has burst its banks following Storm Ciarán which hit Berkshire on Thursday.
At 8am today (November 4), Winnersh Garden Centre shared: “We are closed today
“Unfortunately due to severe flooding the garden centre and restaurant will be closed until further notice.
“Please check back for further updates. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
One member of the public commented: “Such a shame we were hoping to come and see the Christmas displays.
“Hope there isn’t too much damage, we’ll be there as soon as you are back open again.”
