Stacey Solomon’s rarely seen sister opens up about their secret sibling rivalry over home decor

ANY of Stacey Solomon’s Instagram followers will already know that her pride and joy is undoubtedly her home Pickle Cottage.

Whether she’s posting one of her infamous ‘tap to tidy’ videos, or showcasing something new she’s bought for one of the rooms, Stacey, 33, couldn’t be prouder of the family home she’s built alongside hubby Joe Swash and their children.

And it seems it’s a bit of a shared trait for the Solomon family. 

That’s because Stacey’s sister Jemma Solomon has revealed the pair have a mutual love of all things home decor – and that means things can get a bit competitive between the pair.

Influencer Jemma – who has amassed a huge online following thanks to her label making business The Label Lady – confessed that she and her little sister regularly try to outdo each other.

And that’s particularly true when it comes to special occasions like Christmas where Stacey has been known to unveil huge festive displays both on the inside and outside of her Essex-based property.

Jemma recently revealed: “Our love for organising is great and we’re always bouncing ideas off each other.

“That’s not to say there’s no healthy sibling rivalry when it comes to who can have the best Christmas display.”

The 35-year-old continued in her interview with OK! Magazine to celebrate the launch of her book Love, Lists and Labels: “I like to think that growing up, I was the more organised sister. 

“My siblings might say otherwise, but keeping tidy has always kept me happy.”

Highlighting just how much she loves keeping on top of things, Jemma recalled a key childhood memory.

The former nurse went on to say: “The highlight of my summer holiday was heading to WHSmith to buy a new pencil case and arrange my stationery.”

But Jemma and Stacey’s deep bond goes way beyond their shared interests.

Jemma also explained that she knows she can count on the Loose Women star and host of BBC series Sort Your Life Out.

And that has been showcased many times throughout the past when the sisters have leant on one another.

Jemma said: “I can pick up the phone at 3am and call Stacey and we’ll spend hours crying, or laughing, through an issue together.”

This isn’t the first time that Jemma has spoken about hers and Stacey’s shared interests and hobbies.

In another interview with Hello! in the past, Jemma joked it looked like she and Stacey had “literally labelled our world.”

Speaking of the personalised label company she founded in 2020, Jemma added: “Because I’m always showing new ideas, colours and fonts on my social media, my house ends up looking odd because I label absolutely everything!

“I don’t have tons and tons of storage space in my house, so to avoid filling it up with stuff that I don’t need, labelling is a great way to keep your things organised.”
